This week, the advertising world converges on New York City to discuss the industry and its ongoing changes. The team at Advertising Week has created a program full of interesting speakers and topics, including brand storytelling, mobile advertising and diversity.

We want to highlight two events in which Flipboard team members are participating. Both take place on Tuesday September 27 (tomorrow!):

1) Programmatic & Politics

On the heels of the first debate between Trump and ClintonIndexExchange will bring together industry leaders to discuss and debate the “highly charged issues of programmatic advertising today and examine what each of the candidates can teach us about elevating the state of programmatic advertising.”

Our head of sales strategy, Nicole McCormack, speaks on this panel, called Why Politics and Programmatic Aren’t Such Strange Bedfellows: How hot button election topics relate to the programmatic landscape.” Recode Managing Editor Edmund Lee is the moderator and fellow panelists include Alex Gardner, SVP, Partnership Development, Index Exchange; Jed Dederick, SVP of Business Development and The Trade Desk; and Sean Duggan, VP of Ad Sales, Pandora.

Join us at 3:30 p.m. at the Bing Stage.

2) Art & Curation

What started on the stage of Cannes Lion in the Art of Curation panel with Flipboard CEO Mike McCue and The Whitney Executive Director Adam Weinberg is now coming stateside in an event called “Vision in Data: Art and Advertising,” put on by MediaLink. The second part of this event is “a lively panel discussion of industry influencers and visionaries around the implications of data in advertising,” moderated by Chairman & CEO of Medialink, Michael Kassan.

Our CRO, Cecily Mak, is one of the panelists, together with Marcus Startzel, CRO, Appnexus; Greg Gordon, Head of Production, Vox Creative; Christina Cubeta, Vice President, Global Marketing, Quantcast; Ryan McConville, President & COO, Kargo; and Matevz Klanjsek, Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer, Celtra.

Join us at 4 p.m. at The Whitney Museum of American Art, 99 Gansevoort St.

We hope to see you at one of these events!
