Since the pandemic we’ve seen a surge in remote learning. Along with this trend have come new challenges for educators and school administrators such as decisions around cloud migration, cybersecurity, and generally keeping up with innovation.  

Our guest, Dr. Jason Roseberry, helps schools sort through these challenges and other  frequent technological hurdles encountered in classrooms. Jason is president of Five Star Technology Solutions, which helps school leaders figure out which solutions positively impact student learning and guide school districts through change and the adoption of technology.

I spoke with him about the importance for educators to stay abreast with the ever-evolving tech tools. He  emphasizes the importance of meeting teachers at their level of comfort with technology.He believes the contribution of teachers is crucial and highlights the role of data analysis and budget planning for tech necessities such as cybersecurity implementation and a robust tech infrastructure.

Despite initial doubts among many educators, Jason sees potential allies in AI and Chat GPT as future learning tools. He encourages embracing new tech trends, recounting an unfortunate discovery of unused, outdated technology in a middle school as a stark reminder of the untapped potential of tech in learning environments.
