With the caliber of shows on TV these days, a new sort of “Golden Age of TV” is underway. The Emmys is the industry event that recognizes those outstanding programs, with Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire and 30 Rock topping this year’s list of nominees. If it wins, Mad Men has a chance of making Emmy history for most consecutive wins in the Outstanding Drama category. Comedian Jimmy Kimmel will host the show on Sunday, September 23, and you can follow along on Flipboard through our special Emmys section, which features articles, photos and videos from the red carpet through to the gala event and the after-parties. Kimmel’s own social media presence is strong—especially on YouTube—and we’ve united several of his social media channels into one magazine. In addition, Vanity Fair promises to be live-tweeting from the event on Sunday.
