Flipboard has a plethora of news, information and entertainment for you to discover. There is, without a doubt, something for everyone. So let’s explore how to get our eyes on all this great content, shall we? (Please note that the functionality varies a bit between Web, iOS and Android apps, but this will get you started.)
Start at home
OK, maybe this one is a bit of a “duh.” But let’s kick this off on the “Home” screen. You get there when you open up the app or the Website or when you click on the Flipboard logo on the top left of the page. By scrolling down you’ll be browsing through your Cover Stories. It’s an endless scroll on the Web. If you’ve set up your profile carefully, we’re pretty sure you’ll find something of interest here.
Explore
When you click Explore, you’ll discover a range of topics, magazines, publishers and more to add to your Flipboard. These recommended items are selected by our editors. (They would love to feature you here someday, too!) In the app, this area is called the Content Guide, and it’s localized for many different regions.
When you find something of interest, click to open, then click “Follow” to add to your Cover Stories stream. (In the Flipboard app, you can click on the little down arrow on each story to say whether you’d like more or fewer of each type of article, which helps Flipboard learn what you enjoy reading.)
See what everyone else is reading and find more to read
When you click on “Following” on the Web (or the little square split into four squares icon on the app), you’ll see the topics you’ve already selected and the Flipboard profiles you’ve chosen to follow.
Looking for something or someone specific? Click the search icon at the top of the screen and type in what you’d like to find. This is where it’ll become apparent why crafting strong magazine titles and descriptions is important.
There you have it, everything you need to really dig in and see what Flipboard has to offer. Branch out, learn something new, connect with someone unexpected. There are so many great stories out there, and we’re excited to help you find them.
