Flipboard Magazines are now collaborative and social! The new features available on iOS and Android help you better connect with your community over content and shared interests. They also expand on the recently launched pin a flip in a Magazine and create original Notes.
Here’s what’s new:
Invite contributors from your Magazine cover
There’s now an easier way to invite people to join your Magazine to be a contributor. (While anyone can follow your Magazines, only contributors can flip articles, photos, videos, podcasts, and Notes into them.) You find the new invite button on your Magazine’s cover, right underneath the title and description, and next to your profile picture. It is a plus-in-a-circle icon and when you tap it you can easily invite family, friends and other enthusiasts to co-curate with you.
Send love and feedback to your favorite Magazine curators
Commenting, liking and sharing individual stories is nothing new on Flipboard, but have you ever wanted to make a comment that didn’t apply just to a single flip, or thank someone for curating their Magazine? Now you can! Flipboard’s social actions are now available on each Magazine cover, allowing you to send curators signals of appreciation and encouragement.
You could tap the comment bubble to thank someone for creating a resource that helped your trip planning or meal prep. Tap the heart to show gratitude for their efforts. Hit the + to flip the whole collection into one of your Magazines, or use the share icon to send the Magazine via email or text to someone who’ll enjoy it, or to post it on social media
To get these updates, make sure you’re using Flipboard version 4.3.0 (iOS) and 4.3.11(Android).
Enjoy!
