How’d you like to meet fellow Flipboard fans, swap tips and tricks and learn how to get the most out of Flipboard? Extra credit if you enjoy getting together with friends and organizing fun things to do. If you’d like to plan an event for the Flipboard community in your city, town or school, we’d love to lend you a hand. We’ll even send you a fabulous red box* stuffed with Flipboard goodies to share during your very own FlipYourCity event. Here’s what to do: Talk to your friends and fellow Flipboard fans. Structure an event around a common interest — photography, crafting, travel, reading, your favorite band or artist, or any other enthusiasm you share. Choose a fun location, like a local coffee house, your school or college or a bookstore that’s willing to host an event. Then create an event page using a service like Eventbrite, Meetup, or Facebook and begin spreading the word about your event. Once you have at least five other confirmed attendees, visit our sign-up page and provide a few details about your event, including the link to your event page. We’ll review your submission and contact you directly to help tell other Flipboard readers about your event. If we have someone in the area, a Flipboard team member may even attend. Hatch your idea, choose your location, start spreading the word, and tell us how you plan to FlipYourCity. We’re eager to help you become the talk of the town.

* Sadly, our red goodie boxes are only offered for events in the United States, although we hope to expand to other countries soon. Still, we encourage you to plan events anywhere in the world, and we’d love to hear about them!
