My name is Josie Fox and I’m the Audience Development Lead at Well+Good. My work specializes in growing and engaging the Well+Good audience. I have a passion for yoga, Mother Nature and everything that encompasses health and wellness. I use Flipboard because it allows me to stay up to date with industry news and to introduce Well+Good’s amazing and inspiring content to new and current readers. The first few sites I read in the morning are Well+Good, The New York Times, Man Repeller, Need2Know. What makes my work different is that everything is constantly changing! There are always new ways being created to reach our audience—either through new social media outlets, new and changing algorithms, or new discovery platforms. There’s always something just out in the industry that you’re trying to wrap your mind around! My favorite topics and sections on Flipboard include health, motivation and The Weekend. My “media diet” includes as much as possible! If it’s happening I want to know all about it! Specifically, Well+Good, all social media (favorite being Snapchat), and The New York Times. A unique productivity tip of mine is don’t keep too many tabs open above your search bar. Try to focus on one thing at a time, moving onto the next thing when that one task is completed. One issue that needs more attention is body shaming and how we can empower the future generation to think differently about weight and aim to be their healthiest, strongest, happiest selves. If I could offer one piece of advice to my younger self, it would be to be confident, stay true to yourself and that you can take on whatever the world brings your way! ~ShonaS is curating Compulsive & Conscious
