As we approach the first birthday of the Great Journalism From America’s High Schools Flipboard Magazine, a collaboration between Flipboard and the National Journalism Education Association (JEA), we wanted to do a final push for submissions and a last call to “vote” on your favorite stories in the magazine.
Here’s how:
1. Flip through the magazine and read the judges’ favorite stories submitted this year.
2. If you like a story, tap the heart to give it some love.
3. You can also flip the story into your own Flipboard Magazine to save for later.

Teacher and JEA Board Member Jonathan Rogers will salute three of the readers’ and judges’ favorite stories at the upcoming JEA conference on November 9 in Indianapolis, where he’ll also kick off a new year of this program.
For the 2016-17 edition, the same rules will apply, except the work must be produced between November 1, 2016, and October 31, 2017, and we’ll be collecting stories and announcing winners on a semester basis—fall, spring and summer.
We’re also looking for one stellar student artist or photographer to create a beautiful cover for the magazine. This cover must be your original work, in portrait mode, and high resolution. You can send cover submissions to hsjournalism@flipboard.com as well, and we will flip one outstanding piece into the magazine for all to see.
