Say hello to Flipboard’s new Art & Photography Desk on Mastodon. It’s the latest “Desk” to join the four that launched in April. Each of these human-curated accounts is designed to help you discover the best of what’s being shared on the open social web, along with news and inspiration relevant to the topic. 

On the Art & Photography Desk, I’ll be sharing photos and artwork that make me go “oooh.” This will include amplifying the tremendous artistic talent on Mastodon and beyond, as well as information about key developments and people in creative fields, and polls to get the community thinking and talking. I’ll scour what’s tagged with terms like #MastoArt, #Art, #Photography, #StreetPhotography, #LandscapePhotography, #DigitalArt, #Drawing, #Painting, #Collage and more. I’ll follow great creatives and creative publications from the account too. 

I also want to acknowledge that so much of art appreciation is subjective. The shares on the desk reflect my taste — I’m Flipboard’s photography community manager — but I’m all ears when it comes to your feedback. I hope you’ll never hesitate to reach out, tell me what you think, and share who or what is inspiring *you.*
