Today, Flipboard is making 65 specialty publications available through partnerships with publishers like Bonnier, Rodale and The Enthusiast Network (TEN). The new titles, which range from Sailing World to GrindTV to Prevention, add breadth and depth to the topics people follow on Flipboard—and in the months ahead we’ll be adding even more. As usual, Flipboard’s algorithms will categorize content from all 65 sources and match individual stories to the topics people search for. For example, an article about the upcoming snowboarding season in Snowboarder Magazine could appear in the snowboarding topic on Flipboard and be discovered by readers who may not be explicitly following Snowboarding Magazine but love the sport. This new content can also be collected by readers into their personal Flipboard Magazines using the + symbol on articles. That action will boost the story to a user’s followers and increase distribution for the publisher.
