Happy new year, creators! We got back to it last week, reviewing applications and accepting more people into our Creator Collective. A quick refresher: We partner with original content creators through our creator programs to offer a broader range of featuring, tools and monetization opportunities via Flipboard. We add new creators to the platform almost every week and love discovering gems like these:

An Indigo Day: This is an “Atlanta style blog” powered by Jessica Camerata, an escapee from corporate America who started creating in 2011. Back then, her site was called My Style Vita; in 2020, it relaunched as An Indigo Day. With a specific focus on millennial style, Jessica’s bread and butter is fashion tips, although she also creates hair tutorials and explores travel destinations.

Food Plus Words Blog: Meet Louisa, a pharmacist, style sleuth, and major foodie. Influenced by her African heritage, this fashion and food blogger specializes in dishes from Nigeria, including jollof rice, owo soup, and puff-puff. She also says “no dish is beyond my reach,” so expect to see general recipes and advice like all-purpose tutorials, crock-pot ideas, and easy desserts as well.

Glow Diaries: Based in Australia, Liz Douglas used to work as a corporate food buyer and product developer for large retailers. Now she’s a plant-based foodie, recipe developer, writer and podcast host. “I want Glow Diaries to be your one-stop shop for wholesome recipes, plus a way to explore new ideas and get inspired to glow from the inside out,” she says on her website. On Flipboard, Liz’s Plant Based Recipes Magazine is a good place to begin kindling that light.

Or Whatever You Do (OWYD): “In 2017, we got our first pellet grill and our whole world changed,” writes Nicole Johnson, the creator of OWYD. Later, the Instant Pot and Blackstone Griddle had similar effects, so expect plenty of related recipes here. Nicole is a self-taught expert in grilling and outdoor cooking, and her husband, fisherman Jeremiah Johnson, plays a pivotal role in recipe development too.

The Flexible Fridge: Susan Olayinka is a recipe developer, food photographer and new mother from London. Because she knows how tough it is to juggle work, family and self — and still want to eat healthily — all of Susan’s recipes have efficiency in mind, whether it’s using less dishes, ingredients or time. One-pot, under 45 minutes, freeze ahead, slow cooker…it’s likely that The Flexible Fridge will become your new go-to resource for dinner ideas.
